Role: Summer Intern, Stakeholder Engagement, International Division
University of Warwick – MA, International Political Economy
When I joined I was surprised at the variety of roles the FSA offered. This is my second year of being accepted as an intern and, as well as giving me an overarching appreciation of the whole financial sector, working in the international division has given me valuable exposure to global regulation and politics.
My role is extremely varied. I deal with people at all levels of the division – Global Strategy, European Supervisory Authorities Strategy, Policy and Analysis – producing international and macro-economic developments notes, compiling briefings and undertaking complex research projects. I also co-ordinate responses to foreign regulators and government authorities.
I really enjoy the autonomy and responsibility you’re given. Talking to the other interns and graduates it seems that wherever you join, you’ll greatly improve your skill set, be competitively paid and have access to excellent training.
